ENGINE TRANSFERS TO COMPANY 12 THEN COMPANY 26

At 18:30hrs station 2 was alerted for a transfer crew. Engine 2-2 was sent to station 12(Earleigh Heights) due to a fire in company 30's (Armiger). As soon as E2-2 arrived at station 12 they were placed on a call for a smoke detector sounding. Crews returned to station 12 and was there for about 30 minutes until E121 returned to service. Engine 2-2 was asked to take another transfer to station 26 (South Glen Burnie) While in Glen Burnie crews ran 2 medical calls and a brush fire. Crews returned to Woodland Beach at about 22:30hrs.

At 01:00hrs an all call was sounded for transfers and volunteers to staff the stations. This was due to a fire in south county. Crews responded to staff our station and when the Squad made it back from the fire company 27 (Maryland City) had a working fire. Engine 2-2 advised they could handle a transfer due to our station being back in service. Engine 2-2 was sent to company 21 (Harmans-Dorsey) Engine 2-2 remained at company 21 until after 07:30hrs


 
SQUAD RUNS COMPANY 41 TWO ALARM DWELLING FIRE

At 00:41hrs station 2 was alerted to the 41-11box (Avalon Shores) for the reported dwelling fire with multiple calls. E411 arrived on location with a two story dwelling with fire showing. E411 advised the residence was all clear and immediately called for a second alarm. Squad 2 assisted with overhaul and ventilation. Crews remained on scene for about 3 hours.

VOLUNTEERS AND CAREER WORK TOGETHER FOR WBAL SHOOT

At 18:00hrs crews met at the Anne Arundel County Training Academy to assist WBAL channel 11 news with a video shoot. Crews From Woodland Beach (Company 2), South Glen Burnie (Company 26), and Glen Burnie (Company 33) worked together to shoot video footage for a WBAL promotion. Crews shot mutiple videos for about 3 hours. All we know is that the final production will air during the Superbowl. It was a great time and thanks to the county for letting us be a part of the action.


 
   
   
COMPANY 2 ON 1ST DUE COMMERCIAL BUILDING FIRE

At 17:02hrs company 2 was alerted to the 3100 block of Solomons Island Rd for the reported building fire. Upon arrival of units E22 layed out 600ft of 3 inch supply line from Rt 2 and Steward Dr. Chief 2 arrived and assumed command of the incident. ME2 arrived and picked up the hydrant for E22. Crews from E22,Me2,and Mu2 were assigned investigation group. The crew from E22 stretched 200ft of 1 3/4 attack line to the front door. Upon investigation it was determined that it was a good intent call. Crews were on scene for about 45 minutes.

TWO TRAPPED AND 3 TAKEN TO TRAUMA FROM THE 2-15

At 13:09hrs station 2 was alerted to the 2-15 box in the area of Central Ave. and Solomons Island Rd. for the reported MVC. Upon response the assignment was upgraded to a rescue assignment. Upon arrival it was confirmed that two patients were trapped and units called for aviation for 3 patients. Crews extricated the patients in 18 minutes. 3 patients were taken via MSP helicopter to an area trauma center. Crews were on scene for 1 hour.

UNITS ON SCENE: ME2,MU2,C2,SQ38,MU3,BC3,EMS3,PM35,TW40,E31,TRP6,TRP1 AND E351 HAD THE LANDING SITE AT LEE AIRPORT.

At approximately 19:30 hours station 2 was alerted for a transfer crew. Members gathered and advised they had a second crew and called communications. E22 was advised to transfer to station 4 (Severn). While at station 4 crews had dinner thanks to a member who lives in the area. Crews did not recieve any calls for service while at station 4. E22 returned home to Woodland Beach at 22:30hrs

At 16:27 hours station 2 was alerted to the 1-36box (Galesville) in the area of Muddy Creek Rd. and Lansdale Rd. for the reported MVC. Upon arrival of units the assignment was upgraded bringing multiple other units to the scene. Crews for 1 patient trapped inside one vehicle. Crews went to work on extrication and command called for the MSP Helicopter for a trauma referral. 1 patient was transported to an area trauma center by Trooper 1

ENGINE RUNS BOAT FIRE IN THE 41-11 BOX

At  20:19 hours station 2 was alerted to the 41-11 box (Avalon Shores) in the 1000 block of Ford Rd.  for the reported boat fire. Upon our response fire alarm advised that they were receiving numerous calls. Upon arrival of E41 crews fount a large boat with heavy fire showing. Crews established water supply and advanced attack lines to the fire. Upon arrival of Me2 crews advanced another attack line to assist with extinguishing the fire. FIRST DUE BOX IN THE 2-24

At 09:12 station 2 was alerted to the 2-24 box in the 400 block of Londontown Rd. for the reported fence on fire. Upon arrival of Me2 crews found smoke showing which looked like it was coming from a dwelling. Crews called to upgrade the box assignment. Upon further investigation crews found a fence and shed on fire. Crews advanced an attack line and extinguished the fire quickly saving the shed. The fence was a loss. ENGINE TRANSFERS AND IS PICKED UP ON DWELLING FIRE IN 9'S AREA

At 19:30hrs station 2 was alerted for a transfer crew. Members from station 2 gathered a crew and headed to Deale. While at Muddy Creek Rd and Swamp Circle Rd. E22 was added to the box assignment in 9's (Harwood-Lothian) area in the 5000 block of Southern Maryland Blvd for the reported dwelling fire. E22 arrived and set up draft from the tank at the end of the driveway to supply the fireground. E22 was on scene for 3.5 hours.

WOODLAND BEACH VFD BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
The Woodland Beach Vfd will be hosting it annual Breakfast with Santa On Saturday December 17th from 8am until 11:30am.Children 8 years old and up will be $10 per person, Children 4 - 7 $5 per person, Children 3 and under are FREE! Please come out and enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and Coffee (For moms and dads) then sit with santa while he reads a favorite Christmas story. Also you will be able to visit with Santa and get your photo's taken. PLEASE BRING A CANNED FOR FOR THOSE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE. As always thank you for your continued support.  

 




 
   
   
HEAD ON MVC IN THE 2-15

At 20:34hrs station 2 was alerted to the 2-15box in the area of Central Ave and Pike Ridge Rd for the reported MVC. Upon arrival of units they found 2 vehicles that had hit head on. Crews assessed the patients and called for an additional transport unit. 1 patient was taken to a local facility for precaution.

RESCUE BOX 2-19

At about 1700hrs station 2 was alerted to the area of Muddy Creek Rd and Contees Wharf Rd for the reported MVC with entrapment, Upon arrival of units It was determined that 1 person was trapped inside the vehicle. Crews immediately went to work on extrication. One patient was transported to an area trauma center by MSP Trooper 6. Crews were on scene for about 1 hour to assist county police.
