EDGEWATER, Md. -- Anne Arundel County firefighters are investigating the cause of a fatal two-alarm house fire.

Crews said the fire broke out at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 800 block of Bayview Drive. The home is in the waterfront community of Selby Heights along the South River.

 Crews found one person inside. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

 It took fire crews about 25 minutes to bring the fire under control. Commanders said 83 firefighters responded to the fire.

 The fire was contained to the second floor of the home. No other injuries have been reported.
